Charles W. Brown

It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the peaceful passing of Charles W. Brown, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, on July 3, 2026, at the age of 95. Born on June 28, 1931, in Woburn, Massachusetts, Charlie was the cherished son of Francis J. and Theresa M. (Cimmino) Brown.

Charlie spent his formative years in Woburn, where he developed a love for learning and a deep-rooted sense of community. After graduating from high school, he answered the call to serve his country, proudly enlisting in the United States Navy. From 1953 to 1957, he dedicated himself to his nation, an experience that shaped him into the steadfast and principled man we all knew and loved.

Following his honorable discharge, Charlie embarked on a new journey, channeling his passion for education into a successful career teaching graphic arts and computers. His dedication to his students, both in the public schools and the corporate world, left an indelible mark on many lives. He was not just an educator but a mentor, always ready to lend a listening ear and words of encouragement.

Charlie was a devoted Catholic, and his faith was a cornerstone of his life. It was this faith that guided him through life’s joys and challenges, always with a spirit of gratitude and generosity. He was a true champion of others, never missing an opportunity to uplift those around him with his kind words and unwavering support.

On August 27, 1960, Charlie married the love of his life, Katherine M. (Cameron) Brown. Together, they built a beautiful life over 57 years of marriage, raising their family in Harwich, Massachusetts. Katherine predeceased him, leaving a profound void in his heart, but their love story remains a testament to enduring partnership and devotion.

Charlie is survived by his children, who were the pride and joy of his life: Charles W. Brown, Jr., Tracey Ginnetti and her husband David, Matthew Brown and his wife Amy, and Adam Brown and his wife Amy. He also leaves behind his beloved sister, Diane, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immeasurable happiness and fulfillment to his days.

In his retirement years, Charlie found joy in the warm embrace of the Palm Harbor, Florida community. Although he traveled the world, his happiest times were spent surrounded by family and friends, sharing stories and laughter. His legacy is one of love, integrity, and unwavering dedication to those he held dear.

As we say goodbye to our beloved Charlie, we find comfort in knowing that his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and family—a legacy that will endure for generations to come.
