Douglas Samuel Witte, 44, of Largo, Florida passed away on August 9, 2026 at home.
Douglas was an empathetic person with a big heart. He loved outdoor recreational activities like boating, fishing and had a deep appreciation for his antique purple Volkswagen Bug. He found solice in animals and loved his dogs.
Douglas proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. He will be remembered for his dedication, strength, and the impact he made on those who knew and loved him.
Douglas now joins his older brother Johnathon Daniel Witte of Jacksonville, North Carolina to his eternal resting place. Survived by his daughter; Sofia Franklino of Brandon, his parents Richard & Debra Witte of Riverview; sister, Laura Witte & niece Katlin Witte of Lithia; niece Leea Witte & nephew Johnathon Witte II of N.C. who cherish his memory and will carry his spirit with them always.
A committal service with military honors will be held at a Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Douglas will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.
