1929-2026
With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we share that Marjorie “Margie” Bourne Williams has passed away, peacefully returning to the arms of her beloved husband, Fred (predeceased). Margie and Fred shared an extraordinary love story, walking hand-in-hand through more than 64 years of marriage.
Though born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Margie moved to Tampa, Florida as a young girl and truly became a Floridian at heart. It was during her vibrant days at Plant High School, where she was a cheerleader and a friend to all, that she first met the love of her life, Fred. Their early courtship was filled with the joy of swing dancing every weekend, a rhythm of happiness that set the foundation for the beautiful family they would build together.
As a devoted mother, she leaves behind a legacy of love in her daughter, Marge, and her son, Ross. Margie and Fred’s journey took them across the state—from Tampa to Miami, Winter Park, and St. Petersburg—before finally settling into their long-time home in Clearwater. Throughout all these chapters, their lives were rich with laughter, loyal friendships, and cherished memories shared alongside her sister Dottie and brother Robert’s families.
Beyond her dedication to her family, Margie was a sharp, accomplished, and pioneering businesswoman. She successfully owned and operated up to five gift shops across the Tampa Bay area, including prominent locations at the Steinbrenner Hotel and the Tampa International Airport.
Margie’s bright smile and genuinely warm heart brought comfort and joy to everyone who knew her. She is lovingly survived by:
• Her daughter, Marge
• Her son, Ross (Tish)
• Her granddaughter, Kayla
• Her extended family, including her niece, Lynda Lyday, and her nephews, Brad Bourne (Rosie), Michael Lyday (Penny), and Larry Williams
She will be profoundly missed, but her warmth, her entrepreneurial spirit, and her timeless love story with Fred will live on in our hearts forever.
In lieu of flowers, please buy a memorial tree or contribute to St Jude’s.
