LARGO, FL — October 25, 2026, at age 71. Gary Lee Harrah (Harry, Hurricane) is predeceased by his parents, Velma Davis, and Harold Harrah.
He is survived by his wife, Taeko Harrah; daughter, Grace Harrah; sons, Benjamin Curtis (Rhonda) and Kent Harrah (Maiko); four grandchildren, June Curtis, Eva Curtis, Leo Harrah, Io Harrah; sister, Kim Wagner (Donald); brother, Arnold Davis; and many nieces and nephews.
He dedicated 20 years of his life to serving his country in both the United States Navy (AT1 US NAVY) and the United States Marine Corps (LCpl USMC). He was a member of the Bible Fellowship Church in Largo, FL. He was an avid reader of history books and enjoyed his world travels through his military service.
Above all, Gary leaves behind a family who will forever cherish his memory. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of service, the memories he created, and the love he shared will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Gary’s Viewing will be Tuesday, 11/3 from 10am-11am. His Funeral Service will follow at 11am at Veterans Funeral Care, 830 N. Belcher Rd., Clearwater, FL 33765. Internment will be on held Wednesday, 11/4 at 11am at the Sarasota National Cemetery.
