Thebeau, Robert Frank, 71, of Largo, FL died January 7, 2014 at Largo Medical Center.
Born in Woburn, MA, he moved here from Westford, MA in 1975. He retired as a machinist for Pall Corp. in New Port Richey after 32 years of service. He was Catholic and enjoyed carpentry, fishing and golf.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Sheila; two sons, Robert of Lakewood, CO and Chris of St. Petersburg, FL; two daughters, Cheryl of St. Petersburg and Kimberly of Orlando, FL; four grandchildren: Jacob, Shaylee, Sandy, and Courtney; and great granddaughter, Olivia.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Humane Society in Largo, http://humanesocietyofpinellas.org.

I will never find words that can fully express how I feel about my dad. I will miss you, you were always my biggest fan even when I didn’t deserve it. By your actions you taught me how to work(he rarely missed a day). Through your words you taught me about respect. Through your heart you taught me about love. You taught me to be humble all the years on Thursday night you took me with you bowling, you were always the best player on the team although you never acted self righteous. But most of all you were the glue that held our family together for so many years.
I’m sure you’re working with the head carpenter right now building something beautiful for His Majesty!!
I spent half of my youth over at the Thebeaus house… So many memories of growing up, doing fun, silly, crazy things, good times and the difficult times. One memory is of Mr. T working hard and keeping what was sometimes chaos, under control. He was quick with a dry, sarcasm or a big smile, and just as quick with a “what the heck are you doing” look that stopped you dead in your tracks… . He was the scariest teddy bear when he had to be. You all have always been my second family and losing Mr T really leaves a void in my heart as well. he was really one in a million, a true, loyal and strong man that I admired. I know he is in a better place, now feeling healthy again and looking down, keeping an eye on everyone who loved him … Rest in piece…
I was so sad to hear of the passing of Mr Thebeau. I spent many happy times with this wonderful family. I have known Bobby and Kim since we were kids and have shared many good times with all of the Thebeau’s.
I have always admired him for his strength, commitment to his family and his hospitality. He always welcomed me in his home with open arms. He will truly be missed.
