Major Judson D. Lincoln Sr., 93, of Inverness, Fl. Died on Jan. 21, 2014 . He was born in Takoma Park, MD Sept. 15, 1920, oldest son of Leonard & Anna Marie Lincoln. He graduated from St. John’s high school, & received his BA degree in teaching from University of Maryland in Jan 1943. He joined the US Army in 1943. It became the Army Air Corps, & later changed to the Air Force. He married Cora Lou in 1944. He received his commission in 1945 & stayed in the Air Force Reserve in 1947. He received his MA in 1948 from G.W. University in Washington DC. He served in WWII & in France & Germany during the Korean War as a Major in the Air Force OSI. [Office of Special Investigation] He retired from the Air Force after 24 years. He taught Social Studies at Great Neck North High School for 23 years, & was adjunct professor at C.W. Post college for 10 years on Long Island, NY. He married Barbara Pantke in Nov. 1967. They retired to Inverness FL in 1979. He was Past Master of Smithtown Masonic Lodge 1127 F & AM in Smithtown N.Y. He was Most Wise Master of the Rose Croix, Scottish Rite in Rockville Ctr. N.Y. He was a member of Kismet Shrine Temple on Long Island, N.Y., Egypt Temple in Tampa, FL, & Citrus Shrine Club. He was Past President of MOAA.[ Military Officers Association Of America]. He was Past President of SAR [Son’s Of the American Revolution]. He was a life member of the VFW. He was Deacon of First Christian Church of Inverness for 6 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara of 46 years, his children, Judson Jr., Cynthia Lincoln, Sally Yoshioka , & step children, Karen Herman, Wayne & James Pantke, & 14 grandchildren & 12 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his loving Daughter, AnnaSue in 2012, his Parents, His 2 brothers, Bridwell & Byron & his sister, Joyce. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The First Christian Church of Inverness, 2018 Colonade St., Inverness 34453. Funeral services are 12:00 Noon, January 27, 2014 at the First Christian Church, 2018 Colonade Street, Inverness, Florida 34453 with Pastor Ray Kelly to officiate. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:30 AM until service time. Full military honors will take place by the United States Air Force Funeral and Honors team from Mac Dill Air Force Base at 2:30 PM, Monday, January 27, 2014 at the Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida 33513. Veterans Funeral Care 1-800-467-7850
