Farewell to Ronald Thomas Sullivan…
Ronald was born July 5th, 1950 in Newark, New Jersey. His precious soul ascended into Heaven’s gates on January 22, 2014 at 8:15 a.m. and now joins his loving Mother in eternal peace.

His mother is the late Alice D. Brown & father, Thomas P. Sullivan. He has one surviving brother, Patrick Sullivan a resident of the territory of Guam, U.S.A.

Ron grew up in New Jersey and graduated from Newton High School in 1969. On May 14 of 1971 he joined the U.S. Army and served his time honorably until May 11, 1973 in the Artillery Division, Fort Sills, Oklahoma. After discharge from the military he moved to Saint Petersburg, Florida with his mother and soon enrolled in St. Petersburg Junior College and graduated with an Associate degree.

Ronald soon was employed by the US Postal Service in the Saint Petersburg area and worked in that capacity for nearly 18 years before resigning. Ron was loved and respected by all who knew him and is best described as hard working, quiet, reserved and a perfect gentleman.  He was married in May of 1985 and did not remarry. Ron’s favorite past time & weekly escape was playing pool with his best friend Charles (Chuck) Binder and ‘Catfish’!

He passed away at the Bay Pines VA Health Care System in Bay Pines, Pinellas County, Florida.  His final resting place and interment will be at the Bay Pines National Cemetery.  He was a proud veteran will be buried with full military honors.

He will be missed dearly by his brother, Patrick and niece whom he never had a chance to meet – 13 year old Samantha Alicia Sullivan, and all his dear friends.  Special mention to his landlord Becky Argentine Mills & Catholic charitable representative Lee Leigh.
