Conrad Emile Boulanger funeral service is 2:30 PM, Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida 33573 with the United States Marine Corps Det. # 708 Funeral and Honors team, to officiate. Please arrive at the cemetery between 2:00 PM and the time of the service.
Conrad died peacefully after a long battle with kidney failure at the James A Haley VA Hospital- Haley’s Cove and under the care of Hospice on Saturday, July 19, 2014 surrounded by his family. He was born on October 1, 1934 in Portland, Maine to Emile and Gabrielle (Bernier) Boulanger. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1953 and served two enlistments. He was honorably discharged as a Master Sergeant in 1961. During his career, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal; Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster and Conrad belonged to the American Legion. He also was a Qualified Rifle Marksman and Sharpshooter. Conrad remained proud of his military service and was faithfully devoted to his fellow Marines until the final moments of his life-“SEMPER FI”.
Conrad is predeceased by his parents, a son, Anthony Boulanger and a sister, Priscilla Haggard and is survived by his loving family: his three sons, David Boulanger and his wife, Carolina of Houston, Texas; Michael Boulanger of Houston Texas and Charles Boulanger of Grand Rapids, Michigan; a daughter, Lori Stohlmann and her husband, Jim of Moneta, Virginia; a brother, Roland Boulanger of Bay City, Texas; four sisters: Gloria Boulanger-Delisle and her husband, Larry, Pauline Boulanger- McCollum and her husband, Bert, Anita Ferrante-Gennaro and her husband, Carl, JoAnn Boulanger-Leto and her husband, Frank; all of Tampa, Florida; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and a special friend, Ray Harrell.
