Ronald Dale Kirkpatrick, 79, of Seminole, FL, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at Northside Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL. He was born in Moorefield, OH and moved here in 1985 from Elyria, OH.
He served his country in the US Army and the made a career as a Tool & Die Maker. He was deeply loved by his family and he also deeply loved them. He was a huge fan of the Ohio State University Buckeyes. He loved the holidays, traveling, Broadway shows, cruises and cooking. He was known for his smoked turkey and ribs. He was a Tampa Bay Rays fan and had a dry sense of humor. He was a Methodist, President of the Boulevard Club Condominium and published two books on genealogy for his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Linnie Kirkpatrick; brothers, Daryl and Kirk; and sister, Bea. He is survived by his wife, Judith; son, Reed Kirkpatrick of Pinellas Park, FL; daughters, Rhonda Burkholder of Seminole and Margery; brother, Larry Kirkpatrick of OH; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled for 10:45AM on Friday, October 17, 2014 at Bay Pines National Cemetery. The cemetery is located at 1000 Bay Pines Blvd, Bay Pines, FL 33744. The Pinellas County Veterans Council will officiate and present military honors.
