Dolores, this is a sad but happy day. Joe was a warrior of the Christian faith. He has been a ’rock’ in his pew. I have watched him serve our pastors all these years. From Pastor Don to Pastor Jeff. It is an honor for me to be responsible for his ceremonies and burial as the distinguished soldier he was in WWll. Jim & Kim
To the best Grandfather, Great-Grandpa, Great-Great Grandpa, Husband, and Father anyone could ever ask for. You will be greatly missed. Your strength and character will long live on through all of us. Rest In Peace- Love You!

Joe served on the board of First Assembly when I first came to the church. I know him to have been a man of integrity, honesty, steadfastness and faithfulness. A true man of God. I am honored to be asked to conduct his celebration service. We pray for his wife and family in their great loss, but rejoice with them in knowing that he at peace with God the moment he passed from this life. “To be absent from the body is to be (eternally) present with the Lord.”
We have great memories of Joe from our time at Clearwater first. A cherished man of God, he will be great greatly missed. Our love to the family.

Uncle Joe, I’ll never forget the sound of your voice when we spoke on the phone; or the pleasure you showed with every new song I sang for you; or how much we shared about my parents, and all the stories you told about being in India during WWII. These are things others may not comprehend; but we shared, and we laughed. Our visits were enjoyable. Today we know you’re rejoicing being reunited with parents, siblings, & friends. We part for a little while, but we’ll meet you on the other side. Love Your Niece, Darlyne Sue Joseph Dickerson
Uncle Joe: It was my pleasure to have crossed your path, just about every time I came to Florida over the last 10 years I always made time to visit with you because you were an inspiration to me. I enjoyed going to lunch and just sitting with you discussing the things of The Lord, current events as well as how much you loved your family. You will be missed for now but wait on the rivers edge and we will meet again. Chuck
