Terrance Irwin, 64, of Hudson, FL, passed away peacefully at Marliere Hospice Care Center on October 31, 2014 with his family by his side.
Terry grew up in Pinconning, MI, graduating there from high school in 1968. He joined the US Army where he served in the Vietnam War and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. He returned to Michigan where he worked for 10 years out of Road Sprinkler Fitters, Local 669. From there he worked for 30 years at General Motors Power Train, Local 362.
Terry retired in 2008 and relocated to Hudson, FL where he joined Fraternal Order of Eagles, 4208 Aerie. Terry’s favorite past times were riding his motorcycle, hunting, and hosting his family and friends in Florida. He also enjoyed spending time at his White’s Beach summer home.
Terry is survived by his wife, Diane Irwin {Borowy} whom he married in 2002; his son, Travis; mother, Lorraine Irwin {Cooper}; brother, Tim (Cheryl DeHate); four step children, Nicole (Jeremy) Buschlen, Joshua (Allison) Hartley, Misty Reno, and Joshua (Danielle)Reno; three grandchildren, Chase Matthew, Jacob and Sarah Buschlen; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Terry was predeceased by his father Jack Irwin.
Terry had many special friends and family whom he loved dearly. Every person that he met was special in his heart.
A Memorial Service will be held with military honors presented at 3:00 PM on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513 (Exit 309, off I-75). In lieu of flowers those considering expression of sympathy are asked to make memorial contributions to Marliere Hospice Care Center. A special thank you is extended to the staff at Marliere Hospice Care Center for helping us through this difficult time.
