Maj. Gerald "Gerry" Graham, USAF Ret, 77, of Palm Harbor, died December 15, 2001. He came here in 1969 from North Bay, Canada. He was a decorated Air Force fighter pilot with over 100 combat missions during the Korean War, and 35 missions with the 455th Bomb Group during WWll as an aerial gunner/flight engineer.
Major Graham was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross; five air medals for heroism and the Purple Heart. Gerry attended Espiritu Santos Catholic Church in Safety Harbor. He was a Life Member of the US Air Force Pilot’s Association, the Quiet Birdmen Association, Retired Officers’ Association. He is survived by his wife, Pat Graham, Palm Harbor; 5 sons, Gerald "Sandy" Graham, Orlando; Lt. CMDR Ret E. Lee Graham, USN, Great Mills, Maryland; Col. J. Scott Graham, USAF, Montgomery, Alabama; Kevin D’Amico, Clearwater police officer, Oldsmar; Brian D’Amico, Deputy Sheriff Pinellas County, Palm Harbor and 12 grandchildren. Burial with full military honors will be held at Bay Pines National Cemetery, 1pm Thursday, December 20, 2001.
