Jake,
It has been a great honor to help you with your father’s arrangements. I am truly sorry for your loss. I also lost my father at a young age, but I still cannot know what you might be experiencing. A funeral service is a good way to celebrate your father’s life, whether it be something formal like having an honor guard present a gun salute at his graveside or a dinner in his honor with friends and family at his favorite restaurant. Deciding how you chose to honor your loved one that brings comfort to your family is a great step in dealing with a sad event like this that will shape your life forever. I believe you have made very good decisions.
Peace be with you and yours.
Adam

Jake,You are in my thoughts and prayers today as the time approaches for Jack’s memorial service. I so wanted to be there, and I am there in spirit. I will miss my baby brother always until I see him again in heaven. His wish was for all the family to be together in spirit. We are honoring that wish and I think he also was thinking of all of us being together in heaven one day. I am commited to being there, hope the whole family will prepare to be there. I love you all.
