James C. Bowden III, 64, of Hardin, TX funeral services are begins at 1:00 PM, August 24, 2007 at the Houston National Cemetery, Houston, TX with District 4, Military Honor Guard, officiating. James passed away at his residence on August 10, 2007 of natural causes and he was born on September 6, 1942 at Randolph AFB, San Antonio, TX to James C. Borden II and Mignon Bonbrake. A Christian and a United States Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War; he is survived by his loving family: a daughter, Lisa Borden ?Scariano and her husband, Franklin of League City, TX; his mother, Mignon Garcia and step-father, Luis Garcia of Albuquerque, NM; two brothers; Lance Borden and his wife, Christine of Houston, TX and Michael Borden of Sahuarita, AZ and a sister, Eugene Borden of Houston, TX. he was my step son , and my friend,and he show me that is a living god that cares and love all of us also he show me what is the real love to forgive , and to love your enemies, he really love life and extreme love for annimals , he really love his dogs, and they really missing there best frend wich was jim , wich I always calling him , and always will remember as jimbo you always be on my heart and I know that are heavenly father give his life for you, and for me your step father and you will always be my friend god bless you jimbo , and thank you for calling me dad
Jim was more than a member of our church in Liberty. He was my friend. If I needed to get away from town to unwind he was always willing to let me come out to his place in the river bottom there in Liberty to visit. It was an honor to be his pastor for the short time that I was before my family and I moved to Nashville Tennessee. Jim loved me and my family and he especially loved those who wore the uniform. I think Jim always wanted to be a police officer but for some reason never was able to see than dream come true. I want his family to know that Jim loved the Lord. Jim and I would always talk about the Lord and how much each of us had been blessed. I will miss him.
We would like to take this opportunity to offer our sympathies to you all. We count it a privilege to have known Bro. Jim. He was a great man who worked hard and loved people. He was a wonderful member of our church and we will miss him very much. We love you all and pray that the Lord brings you peace through this difficult time.
