Jimmy W. ?Jack? Bankston, 58, of Clearwater, FL passed away at the Bay Pines VA Medical Center, Bay Pines, FL on August 14, 2007 of natural causes.
A native of Vega, GA and a local resident since 1995, when he moved here from childhood home of Warner Robins, GA; he was a hair stylist; attended Calvary Church and served during the Vietnam War as a S/Sgt. in the personnel field of the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his daughter, Stacy; his three brothers: Raymond Bankston and his wife, Wanda of LaBelle, FL; Robert Bankston and his wife, Sherri of Smiths, AL and Roy Timothy Bankston of Bonaire, GA; a sister, Dianne Kastle and her husband, Robert of Panama City, FL and two grandchildren.
Graveside services are 10:00 AM, Monday, September 10, 2007 at Memorial Park Cemetery, 4900 54th Avenue North, St Petersburg, FL with Reverend Robert Kastle and the Unites States Air Force Honor Guard, officiating.

I was truly saddened to learn of Jack’s recent passing. He was truly a talented man and will be remembered by all who knew him. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your entire family during this most difficult time.

I knew him in school and we graduated together from Northside High School in Warner Robins, GA. He had many friends there and will be greatly missed by all.

Jack and I worked together for many years at Custom Cuts and Styles and also at Hairaluia.Jack was a great hairdresser a good friend and one of the funniest people to work with. He will be missed but also remembered.My sincere thoughts and prayers are with the family.
Jack, we remember you fondly back during our high school years. It was so much fun to be around you as you always had a smile on your face and had us all laughing when times were difficult. I knew Jimmy in school and was a friend. I share your grief as I lost my son two years ago at 22. I also share the Veteran friendship as well. Best to his family and friends.

To all of Jack’s family and friends, my deepest sympathy. I was out of country when his obituary was in the paper and didn’t find out until the Christmas card I sent was returned, at which time I tried calling. I apprenticed under Jack when he was working at Hairaluia in the early 80;s. I spent a week with him after his surgery in March and wish that I could have stayed longer. He was such a sweet man. I will miss him and the friendship we’ve shared for the past thirty years.
