There aren’t words to describe your loss, nor are there words to express my sympathy. Every good memory serves to keep the flame alive. Death is only a door into “the next room,” one that all of us will go through at some time. Michael finished what he had to do here, and now he is the one doing the waiting.

Bob and Mary, Know that we are thinking of you. We are sorry that we can not be there on Friday, but we will be there in spirit. We know that your hearts are broken after so much hurt in two years. There must be some plan from our Higher Power that makes all of this make sense. We hope that you can find some peace from remembering that we are never given more that we can deal with if we can find the way to do it. We pray for your peace. Most Fondly, Roger and Mary-Henri

Uncle Bobby and Aunt Mary and Bradley and Michael’s family, I am very sorry about your loss. This has been a very hard time for you all. I would like to share some memories I have of Mike. I remember Mike as a very outgoing, kind hearted, living life to the fullest kind of person. You see Mike was not only my cousin growing up in my younger years, but my best friend. I can remember Mike’s great sense of humor; and I can still hear the sound of his laughter in my mind. One of the many fond memories of Mike was when my wife Becky and I took Grandma Overton to Colorado to see Mike. Mike took all of us up in the Rocky Mountains to camp out. Mike and I woke up to the smell of Grandma cooking breakfast. Mike and I sat around the campfire and talked and just enjoyed each other’s company. Mike will and always has been in my thoughts and prayers.
Bob, Mary, and Bradley, I am so sorry for your loss…I didnt know that Mike was sick. You all are in our thoughts and prayers. Don and Jenny Wayne

I?m so sorry to hear of Mike?s passing. Mike and I went back to high school days, were we would hang out together, and played high school football together. I never will forget tooling around with him in the old bug he had. He was always smiling, and I always enjoyed hanging out with him. May your family take comfort in knowing Mike is with our Father with his mercy, love, and grace. My prayers are with the Overton family.
I was Lynne Schneider, I send you prays and wonderful memories of a teenager who even now remains the “Love of my Life”. Since we met after the move in high school only a handful of days have passed without thinking of him. The comforting thought now is that He knows how much he was loved by all.
Mike had a heart as big as all outdoors. He was very proud of his family name. I was so happy to hear he had developed a relationship with the Lord through his wonderful new family. Heaven is described as a place better than our imagination will allow, but for now I have an image of Mike sharing some noodles and homemade cinnamon rolls with Grandma. Even though we could not be there today I want the whole family to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Michael, I love you and I am praying for you all the time. i really and truly am sorry for everything I did to in the past that was mean because when looked back on it I realized everything I ever did to you was just my way of coping with my own parents seperation. I feel so bad for my mom who deserved a great man like you and she has lost him now. But your struggle is over now Michael and you are DEFIANTLY in a better place. I am so glad I had the oppurtunity to live with you and grow with you all these years because Micahel you made such a huge impact on me, I would’nt the goal-orrientated girl I am today. You tought me the importance of the littlest you can do to make to people smile, and I think you are the reason I have that gift. Your were such a great man, always looking to spend time with the family, and have fun! Even when you were very ill, you still seemed so optimistic and happy. I am proud to be your daughter and would not change anything about you. I love you and miss you!
<3Love you always,

Dear family: I know Donny visited the site previously, but I also wanted to share my condolences and personal regret that we had not had an opportunity to meet Pattie and the girls. Bob and Mary,
My sis just told me about Mike, I am so sorry to hear about it. I wish I could have been there to pay my respects. I was just remembering the good times out at Charlie Browns and Mike in his old blue chevy truck. Him and Marty together and the incident with the cow on Main St. back when the north end of town stopped at Minit-mart. He was such a good guy! I pray God gives you strength and comfort.
sincerely, Cliff

My prayers have been with you, since I first heard of Mike’s struggle with cancer. I was so sorry to hear of your loss and I would like to offer my deepest condolences to all who knew and loved him. When I think of Mike, I think of Grandma Overton. Her eyes lit up when she spoke of him and it was so very obvious the special place he held in her heart. May God bless and comfort you.
Love, Debbie
I wished I’d had the chance of getting to know Michael in later years. I remember playing foosball with Michael years ago in Fort Scott, Ks, when Michael and family were visiting in the Nevada area. Michael was into wrestling at the time. I can remember that he always had a smile on his face and he was a very giving and kind person. I am tearful and sorry for your lose and everyone else’s too.
Patty and kids,
May you find comfort with the love of God, and strength in His presence. My prayers to all of you..

May God’s Angels be always at your side. God bless you and your family and know that He is always watching from above. When you hear the wind blow or the feel the sun shine on your face. or the soft rain falling from above or feel the coolness of a snowflake as it falls, know that He is near. They are never really gone as we carry their memories in our mind and their love within our hearts. Love forever stays and never goes away. God Bless and keep You
Michael is my big brother. One of the things Michael told me was that he felt we influence those we come in contact with. Some people have said I talk like Michael and have similar mannerisms. That’s no coincidence because I always thought he was so cool. I looked up to him and tried to emulate him in a lot of ways. I’m sure joining the Army was something I did because he had done it before me. I’ll always remember one time he had to discipline Josh for misbehaving. He had to spank him but then he hugged him and told him he loved him. When I had children I remembered that firm but loving moment. It’s clear to me that Michael influenced my life a great deal from silly things like mannerisms to very important things like my career and my parenting skills. Michael even showed me how to face death, with courage and dignity. I’ll miss my brother but know that he is still with me in so many ways.
My husband, Todd Jenkins, and I would like to extend our deepest sympathy. We went to school with Mike and spent a lot time running around to ball games, cruising town and hanging out at McDonald’s. He was a fun, loving person and great to be with. I know you will miss him deeply.
Patty,
I am so sorry for your loss. Find strength in your faith and your memories.Wishing you the best for your future.
Bob and Mary
We want you to know that you are in our hearts, thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time.
Now you will have 2 angels in heaven watching over you.
Love…Gil and Judi
I am so greatful that Mike and I got a chance to know each other better while we were sharing an apartment in Marietta. Mike lived life to the fullest and always had a positive out look on life. I wish I had a chance to meet his new family in FL; and I may still.
Cousin
Jeff
Patty-The 1st time I saw Michael, he was in your quiet room. I can remember telling someone that you and he would make a great couple. Funny thing was…you two already were a couple!…and a beautiful one at that! I am so sorry for your loss. May happy memories of Michael fill up your heart with time. Please accept my sincere condolences.
We were lucky enough to have shared many of good times with Michael. He came into our family with open arms and they remained open. He gave his time to work on our house, babysit Alexa, and help out whenever he could. His big smile and warm heart will be greatly missed.
Dear Bob and Mary
I am so sorry for your loss. I am also sorry that I really didnt get to know Mike better in my life but what I did know of Mike was that he was a free spirit and was always a cheerful and happy person. I know that he suffered over the past year or so and I had him in my prayers often. As someone else has posted feel comfort in knowing that he and Mark are watching over your family and they are in a better place with grandma grandpa Carl Denzel and all the other family members who have predeceased us.
Our condolences to Michael’s family and friends in his death. We remember Mike as a typical youngster full of energy and fun to be around who also watched over his brothers. Mike grew up to be a fine person and though we hadn’t seen him for a number of years we were kept informed through Mary and Bob about Mike. May God bless Michael’s family and be with each of you in the days ahead.
