G.M. Vest

G.M. Vest passed away peacefully in Seminole, Florida on Sunday, October 28th, while surrounded by immediate family members. A Naval veteran of WWII, serving in the Pacific theater, GM was proud of his service to his country and maintained memberships to the National WWII museum in New Orleans and the LST Association. Before retiring, GM traveled the United States with his wife and son working in several professions from auto mechanic, licensed charter boat captain in the Florida Keys, and over 30 years as a union pipe fitter.
As a member of the ?Greatest Generation?, GM lived life to its fullest with energy that always amazed his family and friends. He will be missed by all and remembered always. GM is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carol, son Jim, two grandchildren Katie and James, four sisters, Gertie Hart, Donna Zacharczyk, Deloris Avery, Lori Bagley, many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 10am Saturday, November 3, 2007, at Starkey Road Baptist Church in Seminole, Florida. Arrangements entrusted to Veterans Funeral Care, Clearwater, Florida
