Warden “Bud” Dabbs, 85, of Tampa, FL passed away on December 5, 2007 at Kindred Hospital-Central-Tampa, FL of natural causes. A native of Paris, TN and later moved to Omaha, Neb., he became a master craftsman in the field of plastic laminates; a member of the Latter-Day Saints; a model airplane radio control enthusiast; a avid boater, 4-wheeler and a dog lover. US Navy Veteran serving during World War II serving on the USS Wasp. Preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Lucy Dabbs and a son, Jerry Dabbs in May 2007; Warden is survived by his wife, Betty of Tampa, FL; three sons: Ronald Dabbs and his wife, Terry of Lutz, FL; Steven Dabbs of Tampa, FL and Ken Dabbs and his wife, Sheila of New Port Richey, FL; a brother, Gordon Dabbs and his wife, Alberta of Omaha, Neb; a sister, Lucille Dahmer of Omaha, Neb 10 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Graveside services are 11:30 AM, Monday, December 10, 2007 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL with Bishop Kelly and Marion County Military Honor Guard. VETERANS FUNERAL CARE-CLEARWATER, FL.

Although I didn’t personally know Bud, I knew of him through visits with Betty at the FHC. I want to offer my condolences to all the family.
