Floyd A. Ballard, 86, of Sarasota, Florida died Thursday, December 6, 2007 at his home under the loving care of Hospice and his family.
He was born in Cameron, Oklahoma on June 28, 1921 to the late Forrest and Cora Murray Ballard. Floyd served his country in the US Army during World War II and was employed as an automobile mechanic for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Hilda M.OdenBallard; his son, Brian Ballard; his daughter, PaulaBallardMapp; his sister, PaulineBallardScoco, all of Sarasota; and 5 grandchildren. The family will have a celebration of Floyd’s life next year when the new Sarasota Veterans Cemetery is opened.
