Dennis Joseph Lepkowski passed away on December 19, 2007 after succumbing to Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
Born to Alexander and Josephine Lepkowski on June 8, 1946, Dennis was a clever and precocious boy. His brother Gary remembers the intricate model vehicles he built, as well as the mischievous adventures Dennis had with his cousins Poochie and Frankie in Jamaica Queens, New York. Dennis was confirmed in the Catholic Church, graduated from Christ the King High School in 1964, later serving overseas with the Air Force as an aircraft refrigeration and heating technician, during the Vietnam War.
After briefly attending St. John?s University, he worked at Tiffany?s, moving on to become one of the top investment services salesmen at a national investment services firm, which took him to places such as Ohio and Texas. Eventually he settled in Federal Way, Washington, with his first wife Kate, where they raised their four children for the next few years. His struggle with alcoholism followed, leading to financial challenges and life-changing events. Eventually achieving 12 admirable years of sobriety, Dennis married his second wife Shannon, with whom he raised two sons, Paul and Brandon, teaching them to cook and sharing with them the ever-present sense of humor for which he was known.
Awaiting him at home with the Lord are his parents and brother Al. He is survived by his wife Shannon; his four sons, Chris, Mark, Paul, and Brandon; and his two daughters, Beth and Emily; and his brother, Gary and family.
