Jack Alan Waggoner, Sr., 61, passed away on September, 10, 2008 in St. Petersburg, Florida. He was born in Lebanon, Indiana on November 9, 1946 to James M. and Audrey Clawson Waggoner who preceded him in death, and attended Lebanon schools.
Jack served two years in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, and was employed at the Lumber Center, and as a guard for the Deaf school. He graduated from the Plainfield Police Academy and served as the Marshall of Advance for a number of years.
Jack was a member of the American Legion in both Lebanon and St. Petersburg, and was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Pat Chadwell Waggoner of St. Petersburg, FL; four sons: Jack Alan Waggoner, Jr. Katie of Greenwood, IN, James Franklin of Fredricksburg, VA, Hubert Chadwell of Lebanon, IN, and Douglas Chadwell of Pendleton, IN; a daughter, Pam Ruiz of Lebanon, IN;two sisters: Judy James Thompson of Lebanon, IN and Alma “Jerry” Lew Squires of Frankfort, IN; eight grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Florida on September 17, 2008 at 2:15pm with Madeira Beach American Legion Post#273 Honor Guard officiating, of which Jack had been a loyal member serving his fellow comrades.
