Scott and I are thinking of you and your family. This is a very nice poem that we hope will comfort you with the loss of Doc.
Those we love are never really lost to us – We feel them in so many special ways – Through friends they always cared about and dreams they left behind – In beauty that they added to our days – In words of wisdom we still carry with us and memories that never will be gone – Those we love are never really lost to us-For everywhere their special love lives on…
We met Harold Hawkins as our Chiropractor. He and Jerry treated us as family right from the first visit. I have never met two more caring and in love people. Our hearts go out to his family but mostly to Jerry whom we know made Harold proud and very happy.

Jerrie,
We are totally devastated and heartsick at the loss of our DEAR CHIROPRACTOR AND FRIEND. Mom, Dad, Barb and I were Doc’s first patients when he took over the office on Kensington Avenue in Buffalo, NY when Dr. Getty retired. He pulled all of us through our pains so many times, WITHOUT drugs, surgeries, etc. Then he also took care of my husband and 3 sons until he no longer could practice no distance ever kept us from coming to him. We have missed him, and I have had him on my mind so much lately and now I know why. We all loved him and will NEVER forget DR. ’H.A.’
HAWKINS. Love, Dolly,Peter, Christopher,Andrew and David Tamutus

Hi Jerrie, I saw the write up in the Post Journal and extend my thoughts and prayers to you and your family. I will never forget all you and Harold did for me and you both have been missed since you left New York. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Dearest Jerrie, We are so sorry for you loss. We are glad to know he is not suffering anymore and he is definetly in God’s hands. Dick and I have reminised so many times about our visits. He reminded us of Tim Conway when he played that doctor on Carol Burnett. I hope you and him knew what good friends you had become. You both made our lives so much richer. Paul’s too. We hope you keep in touch and let us know what you are doing. Please stay well and healthy. If you ever come up and need a place to stay, just holler….Love and prayers and best wishes. God Bless you. Kathy, Dick and Paul……
Jerrie,
I am truly sorry about the loss of your husband. For me, it has been a privilege and an honor to serve your family. My father was a chiropractor and I think about him all the time, especially when I need an adjustment. For me, no one can replace him. I know that is the same for you. Being a healer is truly special and he will always be missed. If there is anything I can do to help, please feel free to call. On behalf of Veterans Funeral Care, God Bless.
Thinking of you at this time. We all loved and enjoyed Doc and his wonderful sense of humor. I know that he is now at rest.
Love,
Sandi and Jeff
