Allen Barry Schluger, 77, of Pinellas Park, died on Wednesday, September 17, at the Bay Pines VA Health Care System. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, and served his country during the Korean War as a member of the US Marine Corp. He moved to Pinellas Park in 1975 from Edison, NY and was a salesman in the home security industry.
He is survived by his sons, Kenneth of Weston, FL, and Ronald of Largo, FL; daughter, Susan Williamson of Tampa, FL; sister, Marilyn Dolid of Naples, FL; and one grandchild.
A services is scheduled for Monday, October 6, 2008, at the Bay Pines National Cemetery with military honors.
I have great memories of Al. In a lot of ways, I consider him my “2nd dad”.
