Plant City – Philip Anthony "Pat" Patrinostro, 84, died October 02, 2008 as the result of cancer.

Born October 31, 1923 in Ybor City, Florida to Antonino Patrinostro and Dora Maggio Patrinostro, he was a resident of the Lakeland and Plant City area for the majority of his life. He graduated from Plant City High School in 1942. Pat, a US Army Air Corps veteran of WWII, served as a flight engineer and gunner aboard B-17 Flying Fortresses, participating in 26 combat missions over Germany, France, and Belgium. After the war, Pat married Dolly Andina of Tampa. Throughout the 1950s, he worked for a civilian contractor for the USAF at Bartow Air Base and Vance Air Force Base in Enid, Oklahoma. After returning to Lakeland he worked as a salesman for Sears, Roebuck & Co. until his retirement in 1987, when he and his wife returned to his boyhood home in Plant City.

In addition to his parents, Pat was predeceased by a sister, Florence Zula Patrinostro LaBarbera and a brother Frank S. Patrinostro. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dolly Andina Patrinostro, Plant City; their son, Anthony Philip Patrinostro grandson, Philip Anthony Patrinostro, Lakeland; their daughter Patricia Steve Schmitt grandson, Matthew Schmitt, Christmas, Florida; their daughter Phyllis Jodie Rodda granddaughter, Nicole Brandon Bulman and grandson, Joseph Kelly Rodda; their daughter, Linda Richardson grandson, Philip Oswald, granddaughter, Jaimie Richardson, and grandson, Jimmy Richardson; son, Stephen C. Patrinostro; and daughter, Nina Mark Hill; all of Lakeland. He is also survived by a sister, Ann Patrinostro Estes of Lakeland, as well as a very large extended family.

Graveside services are 1:00 PM, Monday afternoon, October 6, 2008 at the Oakhill Burial Park and Cemetery, 4620 South US Highway 98, Lakeland, FL 33812 with the United States Air Force Honor Guard from MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL and Father Ramon Bolatete, officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery from 12:00 Noon until service time.

The family requests in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hospice of your choice or the American Cancer Society, in memory of Philip Anthony "Pat" Patrinostro.
