Vincent S. Leitz, 78, RCM-US Navy-Retired, of Seminole, FL passed away at the Bay Pines VA Medical Center, Bay Pines, FL on October 31, 2008 from natural causes.
A native of Sandusky, OH and a local resident since 1969, moved here from Newport, RI; Vincent was a retired US Navy Chief Radioman serving during the Korean and Vietnam War Eras. After his retirement from the US Navy; Vincent went to work and retired from the US Post Office as a letter carrier. He then went to work and retired as a Telecommunications man for Lucent, Inc. Vincent attended the 1st Christian Church in Seminole, FL and he was a member of the American Legion Post 273.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara "BJ" Leitz of Seminole, FL; four sons: Ray Leitz and his wife, Judy of Treasure Island, FL; Jim Leitz and his wife, Terri of Sandusky, OH; Robert Leitz of Lima, OH and Larry Williams of Riverview, FL; one daughter, Linda Johnson and her husband, Mike of Lancaster, CA along with a total of thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Graveside services are 12:45 PM, Friday, December 5, 2008 at Bay Pines National Cemetery, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd., Bay Pines, FL 33504 with Chaplain Dan Hummer and the US Navy Honor Guard from Jacksonville, FL officiating.
