Veterans Funeral Care Arthur Blomgren
Arthur C. Blomgren, 84, of Tarpon Springs, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2009 at his home under the care of Hospice of the FL Suncoast.
Born in Boise, Idaho to Arthur and Carrie Blomgren, Sr., he moved here from Washington, DC in 1993. A graduate of the University of Idaho, he retired as a pilot from Northwest Airlines and was a chief pilot for International Paper Co. and Stewart Petroleum Co. He enjoyed playing tennis, working on the computer, following politics, and reading. He was a US Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and served in the Air Force Reserves during the Korean War, earning the rank of Captain.
Survivors includes his wife of 55 years, Lola; a son, Steven of New York City, NY; two daughters, Lisa Bingham of Bloomington, IN and Andrea Sandler of Edison, NJ; and three grandchildren, Jessica, Daniel and Ned.
A dear friendandneighbor who will be missed by all at Pointe Alexis and our TOPS group.May he rest peice.
We will miss our wonderful friend who had so many talents. Special memories of fun time spent together will never be forgotten.
