Roger C. Morrison, 71, of Orange Springs, FL died at his residence in Orange Springs on January 16, 2009 from natural causes and under the care of Hospice of Marion County.
A native of Corning, NY and a local resident since 1981, when he moved to Orange Springs from Williston, FL; he was a master mechanic for heavy equipment, a Presbyterian and a United States Air Force Veteran. He is survived by his wife, Betty of Orange Springs, FL; three sons: Christopher Morrison of Flagstaff, AZ; Daniel Morrison of Lexington, KY and Theodore Morrison and his wife, Jennifer of Orange Springs, FL; four daughters: Mary Isaacs and Elizabeth Rogers and her husband, Brian of Orange Springs, FL; Linda Gaylord and her husband, Charles of Palestine, TX and Julie Morrison of Summerfield, FL; brothers and sisters: Jay Elderkin and Ruby Elderkin, both of Morriston, FL; Nick and Guydale Elderkin, both of New York and Tina Mosley of Jacksonville, FL; 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
