Veterans Funeral Care Jane Davis
Davis, Jane H., 77, of St. Petersburg, FL, died March 22, 2009 at Hospice House Woodside surrounded by her loving family.
Born Jan. 2, 1932 in Jonesboro, Arkansas, she moved here in 1956. She was a homemaker and attended Clearview United Methodist Church. She enjoyed bowling and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, John W.; son, John W., Jr. (Marilyn) of Safety Harbor, FL; daughter, Terry Simmons of Pinellas Park; sister, Patsy Norman of Conway, AR; 4 grandchildren, Steven Simmons of Plant City, FL, Lavana Harvey of Tallahassee, FL, Jay Davis of Monroe, LA and Laura Davis of Arlington, VA; and great granddaughter, Brianna Harvey.
A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, March 28th at Clearview United Methodist Church, 4515 38th Avenue North, St. Petersburg 33713. Interment rites will be held at Bay Pines National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions are made to the Hospice Foundation of the FL Suncoast, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33760.

I was so sorry to read about the loss of such a lovely lady, and my heart and prayers go out to all. I have very happy memories as a youngster of Saturday bowling and all the laughter Mrs.Davis shared with those around her. She can laugh with my daddy now, and catch up on old times.You were blessed to have such a loving mother and grandmother. Hold each other close and may God Bless you always in all ways.
