Morris Eugene Perry, 74, of Tampa, Florida died April 7, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Fort Meade, Florida on July 22, 1934, the son of the late Paul and Lucille Cook Perry. Morris was a graduate of East Bay High School, and served two tours of duty with the Air Force from 1952 to 1958, He later was employed for many years as a truck driver for Benson’s Trucking, serving many entertainment centers with equipment and supplies.
Morris is survived by his daughter, Marjory Perry, of Tampa, Florida and her children, Charity and Joelle Mattox of Callahan, Florida; and his son, William "Gene" Perry, and his wife, Joyce, and their children, Billy and Brandon Fugate, all of Cowarts, Alabama; and his sisters: Kathyrn Odeen of Ruskin, Florida and Judy Elliott of Clearwater, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Military honors are scheduled for 2:30pm on Monday, April 13, 2009 at Florida National Cemetery.
