Theodore (Tedd) J. Welsch, 80, of Springboro, OH, passed away on June 7, 2009 at Largo Medical Center after a courageous battle against cancer, while staying at the home of his dear friend, Richard Lake, in Largo, FL.
Tedd was born on May 26, 1929 in Dayton, Ohio, the only child of Kenneth and Mary Welsch. In the early 50’s he moved to California where he attended the Pasadena Playhouse, graduating after studying theatre arts. He then joined the LeMone Dance Theatre, founded by Evelyn LeMone in Pasadena, where he taught and performed for many years. After retiring Tedd moved to Belleair Bluffs, Florida for about ten years before returning to Ohio in 2007. In Florida he spent most of his time as an active member and volunteer at St. Dunstan’s Anglican Church in Largo. Tedd was an avid gardener and he loved animals; he had several dogs throughout the years. He had a prized collection of iris at his home in Pasadena of which he was very proud. He developed many friendships in Florida and California and will be dearly missed by all his friends there as well as in many other parts of the country. He is survived by several cousins in Ohio and California.A memorial service will be held at 10am on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at St. Dunstan’s Anglican Church, followed by a reception.
Our deepest sympathy on the loss of Tedd, a friend to all who knew him. As neighbors of Richard Lake we had the pleasure of meeting Tedd and enjoying his company through the years. He will always be remembered as a very kind and a gentleman indeed.

Rest in peace my friend. You graced the alter of St. Dunstan’s with beautifully arranged flowers and fare. Your quick smile and warm handshake will always be remembered my brother in Christ. See you in Heaven.

My deepest sympathy on Tedd’s passing. He taught me my first dance steps when I was a child. For the several years that I studied, danced and then taught at the LeMone Studios he was teacher, friend and mentor. He was a talented, gentle and gifted man. I still think of him and will always remember him. Farewell dear friend.
