Robert E. Pedersen, 66, of St. Petersburg, died July 12, 2009 at Bay Pines VA Health Care System.
Born in Bayonne, NJ he moved here from Howell, NJ in 2005. He retired from General Motors after 17 years of service. He attended Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Bayonne and was a US Marine Corps veteran during Vietnam and served during the Bay of Pigs invasion. Robert enjoyed model boats and trains, puzzles, crafts and gardening.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Maureen; two sons, Robert E., Jr. of Howell, NJ and Jason of Point Pleasant, NJ; two daughters, Debra A. Pedersen, Sarasota, FL and Denise Van Vooren, West Palm Beach, FL; five brothers, Theodore, George, Freddie, Chris and Carl; a sister, Sandy; and two grandsons, Craig and Robert Pedersen.
Graveside services will be at held at 12:45 PM on Friday, July 24th at Bay Pines National Cemetery, 10000 Bay Pines Boulevard, Bay Pines, FL 33744, (727) 398-9426.
