Jeffrey D. Steinhart Sr., 53, of New Port Richey, FL died on September 1, 2009 from natural causes at the James A. Haley VA Hospital, Tampa, FL. His memorial services are 10:30 AM Friday, September 4, 2009 at the Calvary Chapel Worship Center, 6825 Trouble Creek Road, New Port Richey, FL 34653 with Pastor Vanzyl, to officiate. Full military honors and burial will be 2:30 PM, Friday, September 11, 2009 at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513 with the Marion Honor Guard with Captain Art Nave, to officiate.
Jeff, a United States Coast Guardsman who served during the Vietnam War Era, BM3, was awarded the National Defense Medal; Good Conduct Medal; Marksman Rife Medal and a Coxswain Insignia. After his military service, he became a policeman for the US Park Service; an undercover Drug Enforcement Officer; a DEA Agent and was on many special assignments to the Department of Justice and he was a member of Calvary Chapel Worship Center.
He is survived by his loving family: a wife, Jackie of New Port Richey, FL; three sons: Jeffrey Steinhart Jr., Justin Steinhart, & Kevin Kinney and Kevin’s wife, Carolyn, all of Providence, RI; three daughters: Mya Steinhart of Newport Richey and Dolores and Christine Steinhart, both of Breezy Point, Long Island, NY; a brother, Charles Steinhart IV and his wife, Sandra of North Stonington, CT and two grandchildren: Jack and Padric Kinney.
The family requests, that in lieu of flowers, to please make a donation to the Calvary Chapel Building Fund in the memory of Jeffrey D. Steinhart Sr.

Dear Jackie and family,
How our hearts are breaking and yet again rejoicing that Jeff’s battle is done and he is home. It was a blessing many times over to have Jeff in our lives and know the love he had for all of you and for his Lord. I know we will meet again, until then we will remember him with love and joy.
Jeff, though I only knew you for a short while from the bus garage I considered you a good friend and I will always remember the good chats we had. I like many others will miss you.
Jackie, Our prayers are with you and your beautiful children. Jeff was a man of integrity and absolutely loved our Lord. He truly touched so many of our lives.It has been an honor knowing him.
