Don and his cigar added a special ingredient to the coaching and the sidelines of the T-Birds during the time my son Rodney played and his dad Allan coached with Don. And, the times that we all got together mainly at the Gouldings. Ann, Eric, and family I have you in my thoughts at this time. Love, Sandy Davis
So many wonderful and happy memories of the T-Bird days with Brock and Ann. David and Brock made such a great coaching team; they both loved the sport and the kids so much. Brock made such a positive impact on so many. He will be greatly missed. Our deepest condolences to his family.

Donald was “one of a kind” and the best scrabble player ever! They will always be Uncle Don and Aunt Ann to my boys and all of the old neighborhood boys. He and Anna were my first neighbors when I moved to Florida 35 years ago. When our boys were young, their house was the gathering place for all the boys in the neighborhood. They were always welcome at their house. If they were in trouble at home or things were not good at home, they would take refuge at Uncle Don and Aunt Ann’s. None of them will ever forget that either. Donald was a hero, but for many different reasons and he will always be remembered and loved by everyone who knew him.

My father was recently contacted because remains of his cousin, Edwin F Ackley, who served with “Brock” in the Korean War, may have been found. I’m currently sifting through letters from Brock to Eddie’s family. It looks like they grew pretty close and Brock thanks Eddie’s mom for the “cigars and candy and especially the hot chocolate.”
Don, always a great friend, person and coach. I know you and Russ are just tossing the football around up there.
