Eugene A. Kolasinski, 83, Zephyrhills, FL funeral is 2:30 PM, Friday Afternoon, December 18, 2009 at the Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL with Captain Arthur Nave and the Marion County Military Honor Guard, to officiate. A US Army Veteran of World War II serving as a SGT, Eugene was a retired Aerospace Photography Specialist, working at Cape Kennedy for over 32 years. He moved to Zephyrhills, FL in 2003 from Coco, FL and he was of the Catholic Faith. During Eugene life, he rebuilt an airplane; he was a private pilot and a business owner in the Hardware Business in Detroit, MI with his brother; he served as a policeman for 7 years with the Detroit, MI Police Department; a member of the Civil War Round Table and a Ham Radio Operator. He was writing a book about General Charles P. Stone, who is famous as the builder of the base of the Statue of Liberty. A loving husband, father and brother,Eugene is survived by is wife of 51 years, Helen Kolasinski of Zephyrhills, FL; a daughter, Eugenia Kolasinski of Zephyrhills, FL; two sisters; Rose Burnette of Wesley Chapel, FL and Dolly Molenda of Lutz, FL and a sister-in-law, Casey Collins of Zephyrhills, FL and numerous nieces and nephews.
A reception for Eugene is immediately following the burial, approximately 4:00 PM, December 18, 2009 at the Seventh Day Adventist Fellowship Hall, 7333 Dairy Road, Zephyrhills (across from Zephyrhills Health and Rebab Center).
