Collye Devreaux Hardy, 100, of Pinellas Park, FL, formerly of Lakeland, died on Jan. 19, 2010 at Northside Hospital, St. Petersburg.
Born June 26, 1909 in Cartersville, GA to Charlie and Martha Hardy, Collye moved to Haines City from Dawson, GA in 1932 until 1970. He retired from Juice Bowl Products in 1977 after 28 years of service. He was a member of Christ Memorial Baptist Church, Lakeland and an US Army veteran of WWII.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Cleo Weston Hardy. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Deloris Carn Hardy; 3 sons, Ted of Inverness, Charles of Lecanto, and Collye Daniel of Austin, TX; a daughter, Dorothy Allen of Decatur, GA; a brother, James M. of Haines City; a sister, Jessie Martin of Dawson, GA; 2 stepchildren, Linda Singletary of Pinellas Park and John Craver of Winter Haven; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Forest Hills Cemetery in Haines City.
