Peters, David L., 69, of Largo. FL, died March 17, 2010 due to complications of lung cancer.
Dave was a beloved husband, father stepfather, grandfather, son, and friend. He was a Navy veteran during the Vietnam Era and member of First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks. Dave was a man of great faith who will be deeply missed by his loved ones and many friends.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Laurie Goodrich-Peters; seven children/step children, Wanda Simmons, Julie Goodrich, Rob (Terri) Goodrich, David (Gloria) Cook, Staci (Eric) Frye, Donald Cook, and Shelee Kae Cook Steward; brother, Keith Cook; sister, Kelly Cook Johnson; ten grandchildren, Theresa (David) Jarvis, Alex Goodrich, Stormy, Ashley, Krishna and Charles Cook, Larry and Patrick Deggs, and Liz and Amanda Steward; great grandson, Gavin Panipinto and other family members.
Funeral Services will be held at 3PM on Sunday, March 21st at First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks with Miltary Honors presentation to follow, 12685 Ulmerton Road, Largo 33774. Friends will be received prior to service.

We are deeply grieved over the loss of a very dear friend. He and his wife, Laurie touched our lives in many ways, and especially by the love and kindness he showed. He was like a brother to Kacie and the good thing is that we know we will see him again in Heaven. Our hearts go out to hiw wife, children, grandchildren and all his family. Dave was one of the few people that never had an unkind word to say about anyone, his faith was so strong and he stood firm in his beliefs. We’ll miss you Dave, and look forrward to that reunion in Heaven.
We will miss you Dave, especially on Tuesday evenings! But we know you are in a better place.
