Stella Caroline (nee Saia) Fowler, 85, of Clearwater, FL, formerly of Spring Hill, FL, died March 23, 2010 at home under care of Suncoast Hospice.
Born January 14, 1925 in Boston, MA, she was raised by a large Sicilian family. She retired as a hairdresser. She was a member of the DAV Auxiliary, Chapter 67 in Brooksville FL and Chapter 11 in Clearwater. She was an active member of St. Cecelia Catholic Church participating in the Council of Catholic Women, SCIPS singles group, and rolled bandage for the missions at the church. She was a league bowler and a member of the Italian American Club Bocce Ball Team.
Survivors include her four children, Stephen Gerrior of Arlington, MA, Janice Stamos of Cambridge, MA, Joseph Gerrior of Spring Hill, and Frances Gerrior of Clearwater; 11 brothers and sisters; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
A Mass for the Repose of Her Soul will be celebrated at 10:30AM on Wed., April 7, 2010 at St. Cecelia Catholic Church, 820 Jasmine Way, Clearwater, 33756 with interment following at Bay Pines National Cemetery.
