The Millers extend their heart felt condolences to Rosalie & Tom’s family. Tom worked at Animal Services in the call center with me for some time. We shared a lot of stories about everything we could think of. When I retired from the county, I followed some very good advice he gave me. He will be sorely missed by all that knew him. God speed Tom, we will meet again.

Dear Rosie,
It was so very sad to hear that Tom passed away on Sunday. You both have been in both Bob and my thoughts these months during Tom’s brave battle with cancer. Tom amazed both of us with his spirit and joy in everyday he was given. He has reminded all of us that each day is a gift and to live life to its fullest. His determination to travel to New York to reach out to your family and share special moments was inspiring.
Rosie, you too have taught so many people the lesson of dignity and grace under the most stressful of circumstances. Your courage and positive outlook is remarkable. You gave Tom peace and love. Bob talks about how you continue to astound him with your ability to live life and face things nobody should face.
I wish you many wonderful memories to carry you through the times ahead. Please know my prayers are with you and your family. Tom was a special man to have touched so many lives.
Take care,
Patti (Humberstone)
Tom and I were classmates from 3 grade to our graduation in 1960. For reasons know these memories come back so easy, which are great one’s, hard one’s and sad one’s. Rosalie your also there. Glad you both got together and had some great years together. So sorry, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. You know he is in a better place with no pain, with a smile on his face waiting for use to join him.
I was very sorry to hear of Tom’s passing. I remember him from Orange when we used to play together. He was fun and a good friend then..He will be missed.
Rosie, “may God grant you the serenity to accept the thigs you cannot change; courage to change the things you can; and wisdom to know the difference; living one day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time; acccepting hardships as the pathway to peace…”
You are in my prayers sweetheart and I send you my deepest condolences. Tom will never be forgotten and his spirit will live on in Heaven as an Angel of God. He will always be in your heart, Tom was a huge motivation for me when it came to participating in a fundraiser benefit – “The American Cancer Society Relay for Life”. Due to my efforts, I was honored with a beautiful key chain that will hold a picture of your loved one. I gave this beautiful key chain to you to have it in memory of Tom and the time and precious memories you shared. Be strong and have faith Rosie. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths-Proverbs 3.5-6. Love Andrea
Rosalie, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Tom will truly be missed, as he was a great friend with a wonderful personality. Your friends are here for you with whatever you might need. Love, Sandy and Becky

I just ran across this site. I think Tom is my cousin. My father was Frederick Schollenberger, son of Charles Schollenberger, grandson of George Schollnenberger. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I believe my mom has contact occasionally with Joan Schollenberger. I am going to join Facebood – finally, and I may know more about the Schollenberger side of the family. My dad was an only child.
