B. Jolene Makris, 81, funeral service is 11:00 AM, Friday, May 7, 2010 at St. Gregory Episcopal Church, 6653 West Chatfield Avenue, Littleton, CO 80123 with Father Todd Sorenson, officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 AM, until service time. An Order of Eastern Star and Social Order of the Beauceant service will be graveside at 1:00 PM, Saturday Afternoon, May 8, 2010 at Fairview Cemetery, 8105 City Road, Salida, CO 81201.
Born in Queens City, MO and former 40 year resident of Littleton, CO, Jolene recently resided in Humble, TX. Jolene a Past Matron of the O.E. S. Manzanita Chapter # 85 in Littleton, CO; a member of O.E. S. Chapter # 415 in Humble, TX; S.O.O.B. Chapter 204, Humble, TX and she was the Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary to V.F. W. Post 10352, Spring Aldine, TX.
Jolene is preceded in death by her parents, Emory and Lucile Van Meter, daughter, Jami Jones, and her husband, George Makris. She is survived by a daughter, Gena Carlo (Chuck); son-in-law, Albert Jones; sister, Sharon Stinnett; two grandchildren, Shane Dottenwhy (Rachell), Amanda Dottenwhy; two great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
