Ross M. Slacks, 70, of Reddick, died on May 6 (Thursday) at the Ocala Regional Medical Center. He was born in Golden, CO and moved to Reddick in 2003 from Dania, FL.
He served his country during the Vietnam War in the US Army. He retired from US Army as a Chief Warrant Officer. He was a life member AMVETS and the VFW and was also a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife Jackie; sons, Mark Slacks of SC and Wil Slacks of Murfreesboro, TN; daughters, Marlene Slacks of Coconut Creek, FL and Robin Slacks of Coral Springs, FL; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services, with military honors, will be held at 11:30AM on Tuesday, May 18, at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
Dad, you are missed every day. I miss your great stories and jokes. I’m glad we had the time together on the land. Love you always.
