MARGARET IMOGENE (GENE) BEEVERS, age 90, departed this earth to continue her life in heaven on May 7, 2010. Gene was one of ten children born to Rev. Samuel R. and Sarah U. Love. She is survived by her children Stephen (Elizabeth) John of Dunedin and Sharon (Kenneth) Knox of Simpsonville, SC, four grandchildren Chelsea (Chris) Knowles, Michael (Karie) John, Michele (Matt) Kilgore, and Brian (Jen) Knox, and two great-grandchildren Ava John and Georgia Knox. She was anticipating the births of two more great-grandchildren this year.
She retired from Independent Life Insurance after more than 25 years of service and was a member of Sunset Point Baptist Church for over 60 years. Gene loved reading, a variety of crafts and, most of all, people. A celebration of her life took place in January at her surprise 90th birthday party attended by family and friends. At here request no other services are planned. True to her spirit of giving and serving, she has donated her body to the University of Florida Medical School where she will be known as a "silent teacher."
