Arthur Nathaniel "Nate" Cannon, was born on 2/15/1922, in Rahway New Jersey and passed away on Wednesday, 7/07/2010 at Bay Pines VA Health Care System.
He was a son, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and much more. In his 88 years here he touched many lives. He was a US Army soldier durring WWII, where he proudly served his country. After his discharge from the service, he persued, dated, and married Elizabeth Harvey.
He is preceded in death by: wife-Elizabeth Cannon (FL), children-Frederick Cannon, and Arthur Jr. He is survived by daughter-Linda C. Buckner (FL), daughter in law-Joy Cannon (NJ), grandchildren-Troy Cannon "Nikkii" (FL), Yvette Chapman (NJ), Duane Cannon (Cali), Nicole Cannon (NJ), Scott Cannon "Marilyn" (FL), Tanya Cannon (NJ), Cheryl Overton (FL), Tina C. Franklin "Carlos" (FL), special mention great granddaughter- Toya Cannon (FL), 21 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
You are loved, honored, cherished, and missed.

I send my deepest condolences to my dear relatives during their time of grief. I remember Cousin Arthur very well. He maintained a long friendship with my parents, Chester Belvin, Sr. and Mattie Ruth Belvin. During my youth, we visited the Cannon family in Linden on a regular basis. I will always remember that I always thought Cousin Lizzie and my mom were related by blood instead of by marriage – they always seemed so close. Cousin Arthur always found our funny bone and was always able to make us laugh. I remember these traits of his most – his warmth, his good and friendly nature, and his loyalty. I have such warm memories of all our departed loved ones from the Cannon family – Ricky, Cousin Lizzie, and Arthur, Jr. I will hold their memory forever in my heart. And although I did not see Cousin Arthur, Sr. much during recent years, his memory will remain fresh. Dearest Linda, my prayers are with you and I hope to get to see you soon.
