Lee T. Gilmore, 60, of Pinellas Park Florida, died August 7, 2010, at home.
He was born November 14, 1949, in Keansburg, New Jersey. He worked in retail and volunteered as an emergency medical technician in Union Beach, New Jersey. Lee’s interest included a love for his family, animals, nature, outdoors, astronomy, rock music, nascar, and most of all finding humor in the simple things in life. Lee’s life was greatly enriched when he met Barbara Gilmore and her two small children in 1970, shortly after they became a family. The family moved to Florida in 1984 where his work in retail continued.
He is preceded death by his father, James Patrick Gilmore, mother, Eunice Cowley Gilmore, and his loving wife, Barbara. He is survived by his son, Kevin & wife, Carolyn Gilmore of Dunedin; his daughter, Tracy Gilmore of Pinellas Park; 2 grandchildren, Amanda & Katelyn Gilmore; niece, Jennifer DaSilva of New Jersey and nephews, Michael DaSilva of South Carolina & Robert DaSilva of New Jersey; countless friends and his beloved pet cat, Trip.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday August 14, 2010 @ Curlew Hills Memory Gardens 1750 Curlew Road, Palm Harbor, FL, 34683-6566, the family requests Summer Casual Dress. A reception for the celebration of Lee’s life will immediately follow at Calvary Baptist Church, 110 North McMullen Booth Road Clearwater, FL 33759.

I was surprised and sorry to have just learned that Lee died 9+ years ago. I was his first wife and shocked that his only real natural daughter Guinevere Gilmore was never mentioned in his obituary. May he rest in peace.
