Dook H. Ramotar Sr. went home to be with the Lord on August 10, 2010. He was born on April 23, in Guyana, South America. He came to the United States in 1967 and then moved to Florida in 1986. He worked for the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier and then held a position as the Executive Vice President of the National Association of Letter Carriers until he passed away. He attended the Alliance Church of Zephyr hills.
He is survived by his wife Carla. His sons, Travis, Dook Jr. and Timothy,of Wesley chapel,FL. His daughters, Sarah Amyan and family of Seminole,Fl. Sushi la Stephan and family of Delaware, Johora and Indira,of Wesley Chapel, Fl. and 5 grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Miriam Baksh of Margate, Florida. A brother Cedric Bacchus of Sanford Florida. And many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on August 14, 2010 at 11 am at Seminole Assembly of God,10600 113 St, Seminole, Fl 33778. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to HPH Hospice East Pasco Care Center. The family also wishes to thank the staff at HPH Hospice Care Center for their compassion and loving care of Dook.

There are no words that could catch the raw emotion I feel in my heart that describes how much not only I but everyone misses you and loves you. You were the bigggest part of our family and truly were the leader. Please dont think I never listened to anything you have to say if anything I utilize each word in my everyday life. I really wanted to say thank you for everything you gave to the family and we truly miss you….
