Marlene and Karen,
I’m sorry to hear of Aunt Louise’s passing so soon after Uncle Earl. I am grateful to have spent time emailing and chatting with her over the past few years. It means a lot to me that she entrusted the family geneology with me. She was also kind and generous enough to allow my daughter Lynsey to interview her for a school project a few years ago (as our oldest living relative!), so Lynsey was also able to get to know her a little bit. I will miss being able to reach out and talk to Aunt Louise about the family history.
Warmly,
Wendy Rawson Sheppard (Chuck’s daughter)
Both Louise and Earl lived lives of great value and fine example for others. Sadly, even the best of things do come to an end but the thoughts of people who knew them will carry on.
To a beautiful woman. She was my great grandfather’s niece. She gave a gift that meant so much to me. The Address to my great Aunt Lucie. Lucie was Louise first cousin. Lucie is my grandmothers sister. I had to break the sad news to Lucie.
Louise shared what I missing in genealogy. Shared some amazing pictures with me. I also told Louise I purchased her Grandfather’s Head stone at the Green Lawn Cemetery in Columbus Ohio. Silas Alden and his brother George Alden.
Louise always sounded so youthful. She was truly a beautiful woman.
I am so glad to have known her. I wished I had the chance to meet her personally. However, with the war in Iraq it was hard. However, I maintain contact with her.
Still I thank her from the bottom of my heart that she gave me Lucie my grandmother’s sister. I lost my grandmother when I was five years old.
Lucie will be 87 years old. We were two lost souls who really needed one another.
Louise made that possible for me. She was truly a gift from GOD.
Love
Jeannette
