Dottie Lee Smith, 75, of Largo, FL, passed away Thur., August 26, 2010 at Largo Medical Center.
Born in Fairlee, MD, she moved here from Rock Hall, MD in 1977. Dottie retired from First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks in 2004 after more than 20 years in the preschool program as a teacher and administrator. She was an active volunteer of MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) and she enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Bill; three sons: George of Pinellas Park, David of Seminole, and Robert of Palm Bay, FL; a daughter, Debbie Lamb of New Port Richey; brother, Cliff Newsome of Westminster, MD; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks, 12685 Walsingham Road, Largo, FL 33774.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the FBCIR Preschool.
