Charles Henry Favero, 83, of Clearwater, FL passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Hospice House Woodside. Funeral services are 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 21, 2010 at the Hospice House Woodside, 6770 102nd Avenue, Pinellas Park, FL 33782 with Pastor Howard, to officiate. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 PM at Bay Pines National Cemetery, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd., Bay Pines, FL 33744, with Masonic Lodge # 127, Chaplain Bryant Davis and VFW Post #9272 providing military honors.
A native of Samoset, FL and a local resident of Clearwater, FL. Charles graduated from Bradenton High School, Bradenton Class of 1945. Charles was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge #127. He began his career with Peninsula Telephone Company which later became GTE/Verizon and retired after 35 years. He was a protestant and a US Navy veteran of World War II. He served aboard the USS Mustin, USS Higbee and the USS Wood. Charles was awarded a World War II Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal and a China Service Medal.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Margaret of Clearwater, FL; a son, D. Thomas Favero and his wife, Karen of St. Petersburg, FL; a twin brother, James Edward Favero; a sister, Virginia Favero and a granddaughter, Ashley Elizabeth Favero.

Margo,We are so sorry for your loss. Charles was loved by so many people here on Jeffords street. He spent the last 12 years at our home for holidays and birthdays and was truly a part of our family. He will be dearly missed. Our prayers are with you.
Aunt Margo you have been in our thoughts and prayers for months and will continue to be. We will miss Uncle Charles but will be reminded daily of him just by looking at grandpa. As my children used to say when they were little and confused by the identical twin thing…”He’s our other Grandpa” We always enjoyed the visits and the funny stories grandpa would pass on about the adventures the two of them had! I remember Charles as an Assignor-Dispatcher in Largo, on Starkey Rd. He was kind, thoughtful, and humerous. He loved to laugh, and was well loved by his fellow workers. His
long distance walking abilities were amazing to me. He probably could have won Walking Marathons. He will be missed.
