Henry F. Muse, 91, of St. Petersburg, Florida passed away peacefully at his home October 23rd, 2010, with his wife, Missouri Muse at his side.
Henry was born in Vandamere, North Carolina on July 29, 1919. He lost both of his beloved parents’ when he was nine years of age and was raised at the Methodist Orphanage in Raleigh, NC. Henry had 2 brothers and 2 sisters who preceded him to Heaven. He joined the U.S. Navy at age 18, during World War II, and shared many wonderful memories of the places in the world he was fortunate to visit. Henry went to work for the U.S. Post Office and stayed as a reservist in the U.S Navy until he retired.
He is survived by his wife Missouri Muse, and his 5 children, Steven H. Muse and his wife Kathy, of St. Petersburg, FL, David E. Muse and his wife Rosemary, of Naples, FL, Verna Noble and her husband Chuck, of Middleburg, FL, Bernice Henderson of San Antonio, TX, and Brenda Ratthe’ and her husband Andre’ of St. Petersburg, FL. Along with 7 grand children, great grand-children, nieces and nephews.
Our Dad’s dog, Oscar (his favorite son,) had passed away a few months ago. Our Dad passed away on Oscar’s birthday and we feel Dad went to celebrate with him.
Mr. Muse will be laid to rest October 27th, at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL, at 1:00 PM.
