Carolee Pauletich of Plant City, FL passed away peacefully in her home on October 28, 2010 surrounded by people who loved her. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 12, 1944. Carolee met Jim, the love of her life, in San Francisco and they married on September 22, 1962, with their life long friends Albert and Linda by their sides. Jim is Donald to her Daisy. Together they traveled to many places all over the world. They are blessed with two fiery red-headed daughters, Laurie and Heather, two caring sons-in-law, Troy and RJ, a wonderful granddaughter and grandson, Emily and Andrew, her sister Lynn, and her best friend Tasa.
Although Carolee was diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2002, the cancer never defined who she was. She never let it keep her from enjoying the many things she loved including going to Disney, Shopping, Disney Cruises, Margaritas, Disney watches, Junior Mints, Disney clothes and… well, you get the idea. She was a Princess, Wonder Woman, and Daisy Duck; and she taught us that you're never too old to make great friends, learn new things, laugh at yourself, dance in the rain, and admit you love Neil Diamond.
The incredible lady never slowed down and she never looked back. Carolee showed us all how to deal with bad things with style and grace and we are all better for it.
A celebration of her life will begin at 2pm on Saturday, November 6, at their home at 3219 Myrtle Oak Loop, Plant City, followed by an open house. Finally, all who wish are welcome to join in a sunset toast by the lake. Please dress casually (your favorite Disney shirt is fine!). The family requests that they all be sent on a Disney Cruise in lieu of flowers! Seriously, Memorial Donations to the Susan G. Komen Foundation would be especially appreciated.

The immediate family would like to thank all of the many family and friends who have shown so much love over their lives…there are too many to mention by name, but each is important and loved.

What Cancer Cannot Do
Cancer is so limited…
It cannot cripple Love
It cannot shatter Hope
It cannot corrode Faith
It cannot destroy Peace
It cannot kill Friendship
It cannot suppress Memories
It cannot silence Courage
It cannot invade the Soul
It cannot steal eternal Life
It cannot conquer the Spirit
Heather, please know you and your family are in our prayers and we wish for you the peace only God can provide. Although the past 8 years were difficult, I know you rejoice in the knowledge that you enjoyed so much time with your mom. Always remember she is watching over you and your family from heaven and she misses you as much as you miss her. Peace.
I’m honored to have known Carolee, and to have counted her among those people in my life who have gone beyond being friends, to become family. I will always think of her with love in my heart & a smile on my face. (as I do now even through the tears)…
Carolee will be missed. She handled herself with grace and good humor. I will always remember our friendship which started with our trip to San Antonio for training with USAA. Family and friends were the most important things in her life. One of God’s promises in Psalm 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.
To my dear friend Heather, You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Please know that God will comfort you and your family in your time of need. Continue to rejoice in the Lord and know that one day, you will see your mom again!!!
With sorrow,
Sadarria Lewis, your old friend
Hang on tight to those wonderful memories. She will always be with you in spirit.
SHE WAS MY BROTHERS WIFE, BUT WAS THE SISTER I NEVER HAD,
WILL MISS HER ALOT.
HEY, HEY, WE’RE THE MONKEYS…….
I wish I knew Carolee better but I do remember her laughing sweet face at her first Gasparilla, heaving beads with the best of them! Beautifully remembered and much missed. I feel for all of you at your loss but I know there are a ton of memories that are going to start popping out when you give them time.
Dear Aunt Carolee,
Oh how you will be missed! Your fight was a good one that taught me so much about who you were! A strong woman who would do anything for family and friends. An Aunt who, even when she felt weak and tired, stayed at Disney all day to celebrate our many vacations with Lexi and Kelsie who looked more forward to seeing you and Jim than going to Disney! A woman whose best friend was her husband and vice versa!! You are loved by so many and our hearts hurt for your passing. Your body will hurt no more which I am glad for. Please send Uncle Jim a message in the wind, the lights or his dreams. He misses you terribly and just needs to feel you. Love you, Sarah, AJ, Lexi and Kelsie
I was saddened to hear of your loss. It was a pleasure to work with Carolee for a number of years and I was rewarded with many fond memories. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Phyl Rea
Heather and family, We are sorry for your loss but know that you will find peace in your loving memories. After reading the detail about your mom, I at last know where the love of Disney comes from. That’s great that you shared something so fun in common. As always our thoughts and prayers are with you.
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Your family has forever touched mine and your kindness will live on through many generations. I am keeping you all in my prayers. Love ya, Chris, Derek and Dante
I never really got a chance to know Carolee that well, but she was always as sweet as could be and could fill out a work report like nobody’s business!
Jim, Laurie, Heather & Family,
It has been many years since I have seen any of you, far too many, but you have always been and will be in my heart.
I am deeply saddened upon hearing about the loss of your beautiful Wife & Mother, & second Mom to me, Carolee.
I have so many fond memories, too many to mention, but Carolee always found joy in EVERYTHING! She had a smile and laugh that was contageous, and a huge heart full of love for everyone. I am forever grateful that God crossed our paths, and you took me into your family as if I was one of your own. It fundamentally changed my life, and I am a better person because of all of you.
May you be surrounded with comfort and love, and have peace in knowing that Carolee is always with you!
Rest In Peace “Cara-Bee”, you will be dearly missed, until we meet again.
All my love to each of you!
Lori “Richardson” Plante
Our daughter-in-law’s Mother
and always a friend to us. She
and Jim were always willing to play tour guide and show us

times shopping!!! We’ll miss
her.
Poem by Edgar Guest
I’d like to leave but daffodills to mark my little way,
To leave but tulips red and white behind me as I stray;
I’d like to pass away from earth and feel I’d left behind
But roses and forget-me-nots for all who come to find.
I’d like to sow the barren spots with all the flowers of earth,
To leave a path where those who come should find but gentle mirth;
And when at last I’m called upon to join the heavenly throng
I’d like to feel along my way
I’ left no sign of wrong.
And yet the cares are many and the hours of toil are few;
There is not time enough on earth for all I’d like to do;
But, having lived and having toiled, I’d like the world to find
Some little touch of beauty that my soul had left behind.
