Richard C. Patchin Sr., US Army-Korean War Veteran, 80, of St Petersburg, FL, passed away on December 16, 2010.Funeral services are 1:30 PM, Monday Afternoon, January 3, 2011 at Bay Pines VA National Cemetery, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd., Bay Pines, Florida 33744 with Veterans of Foreign War Post 9272 and Captain Bud Burkett, to officiate.
A native of Trenton, NJ and a local resident since 1969, when he moved here from Trenton, NJ; Richard was a furniture refinisher; a Catholic that attended Holy Family Catholic Church in St Petersburg, FL and a US Army Veteran that served during the Korean War Era in Germany. He worked for several years at Kane’s Furniture and prior to moving to the bay area, he owned his own business, Furniture Restoration in Trenton.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joan of St Petersburg, FL; two sons: Richard C. Patchin Jr. and his wife, Susan of Pinellas Park, FL and John Patchin of New Lisbon, NJ; a daughter, Catherine Drooger and her husband, Craig of Pinellas Park, FL; a sister, Peggy Kneip and her husband, John of Whiting, NJ; grandchildren: Jennifer Veloff and her husband, Steve; Joni Dean and her husband, Matthew; Brandon and Elaine Patchin and great grandchildren; Kade and Lilyann Dean.
